Does
SniperSpy work on my Internet connection?
SniperSpy works on ANY Internet connection. It doesn't
matter if you have a high-speed connection or a 56k
connection. The activity logs are very small thus they
can be sent in total stealth using virtually any Internet
connection.
What versions of Windows is SniperSpy compatible
with?
SniperSpy works on any version of Windows including
Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME, XP, 2000, 2003, NT and Vista.
SniperSpy is now remotely deployable to all versions
of Windows including Windows Vista.
Are there any annual charges
to use SniperSpy?
Absolutely not. You pay a one-time purchase price of
$79.97. You can use it for as long as you want with
no additional charges. This includes the ability to
store the 100 most recent screenshots. The ability to
store more screenshots is available upon request. Additional
licenses can be purchased here for $19.97 each.
Can anyone review recorded
data besides me?
Our server keeps your files safe and secure.
Nobody else can access your activity without your secret
password.
Will users know SniperSpy is
installed once they execute it?
The only way they will know is if you chose the "Alert
User at Startup" option while creating your module.
If you didn't choose that option then nothing will be
displayed to notify the user.
Can I install SniperSpy from
a floppy or CD-ROM?
Yes, if you want to install from a floppy or CD, just
create your module according to your needs. Then copy
the module file to a floppy or CD and take it to the
computer in which you need to monitor. Then run the
module from the floppy or CD.
I configured SniperSpy, now
how do I deploy the software remotely?
The module can be deployed remotely a number of ways.
The most common of which is renaming the module exe
file to something inconspicuous such as eminem.exe or
coolgame.exe and then placing it inside a WinZip file.
The Zip file would then be attached to an email to the
remote user for them to run.
How do I insert my module into
a Word Document?

that you know and remember.

can extract it

or whatever you wish in "Caption".
10. Then click OK and save the Word document and send
it to your remote computer.
Note: The word document must be opened and the icon
must be double-clicked for the module to execute.
How do I insert my module into
a Wordpad Document?

it to your remote PC.

must be double-clicked for the module to execute.
How do I use RXS Stealth Email
in conjunction with SniperSpy?
The Stealth Email system is a basic webmail system that
allows you to send emails anonymously. You can put any
attachment in your email to be delivered to the email
address you choose. SniperSpy modules can easily be
attached to emails sent from Stealth Email.
What if the module can't be
executed via e-mail?
The remote user must execute the module in order for
the program to install. If the module can't be executed
by email then you will need to execute it locally. Getting
the module to be executed on your remote computer is
your responsibility and no refunds will be given if
the remote user doesn't run the module.
Why doesn't anything happen
when I run the module I created?
The module you create would be executed only on the
PC you want to monitor. Nothing appeared to happen because
that's what the module is designed to do. You should
uninstall the SniperSpy installation and then deploy
the exe module to the appropriate PC.
How can I stop SniperSpy from
running on a remote PC?
To stop SniperSpy from running on a remote PC, simply
login to the online control panel. Then select "Uninstall
SniperSpy" from the left side menu. The software
will then remove itself the next time it uploads information,
which is usually within minutes.
How do I view the recorded
data captured from the module?
After you have deployed to your remote PC, you should
login to your online control panel using your username
and password to view data recorded by SniperSpy.
Will SniperSpy Be detected
by virus scanners?
Due to the increased demand for remote spying products,
anti-virus and anti-spyware software label some of them
as potentially unwanted programs. Any time our software
is known to be detected we will work to ensure an update
is released that will eliminate the problem. However
no refunds will be given due to confliction from any
third-party programs. All anti-virus programs include
a way you can "EXCLUDE" or "Ignore".
We also include step-by-step instructions for Norton,
Mcafee, Spy Sweeper and more.
Why do I get Internal Server
Error at Login?
In versions previous to 3.0, this error is the result
of many logs pending for your account. The server needs
more time to fetch records. Simply click refresh and
let it keep going. Repeat until it lets you in.
Why did my logs stop updating?
If your logs have stopped for less than 48 hours then
its too soon to know whether you need to re-deploy.
The computer could simply be turned off or not connected
to the internet right now. If you can have the remote
user reboot the computer this may help. A reboot will
allow the software to upload logs twelve minutes after
a successfull internet connection. All pending logs
will upload at that time and be viewable in your SniperSpy
account. If two days pass and no logs are uploaded then
you should re-deploy your module to your remote computer.
Perhaps the installation was damaged somehow.
Why are the keystrokes not
recording?
If your logs are coming in but you are receiving no
keystroke recordings whatsoever, then one of these two
items is likely the cause.
1. The windows recording feature was not turned on in
your module. This is required to record keystrokes.
2. The remote computer has an anti-virus that took out
the keystroke logging file. The only option is to remove
the anti-virus and redeploy if you want to record keystrokes.
You can replace the anti-virus with Avast 4 Home Edition
which does not detect our files. http://www.sniperspy.com/avast4home.html
Why are only some keystrokes
being recorded?
The usual cause of only some keystrokes being recorded
is that non-ASCII characters are being typed. For example
accented characters are not ASCII characters. When non-ASCII
characters are typed the entire entry will not be recorded.
We are working on adding this feature in the next version
of SniperSpy. In the meantime you could view most of
the keystrokes in your screenshots logs.
Why is my username and password
not being accepted?
Be sure that you are typing your username and password
in EXACTLY as indicated when you setup your account.
Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive.
How do I retrieve a lost password?
To retrieve your online control panel password, click
the lost password page to have it sent to your email
address.
How do I change my SniperSpy
password?
To change your SniperSpy password, first login to your
account. Then click the "Change Password"
link on the left side menu. Enter your current password
and the new password twice to confirm.
How can I upgrade to the latest
version?
Any previous customer can upgrade to the latest version of SniperSpy by going to the SniperSpy upgrades page. Please note that you will need to re-deploy for the upgrade.
Step 1. Request latest module
creator download.
Step 2. Create new module and deploy to your remote
